Why the Jets?

It is the goal of the Toronto Jets to create an accessible tackle football program for children/youth between the ages of 6 and 14 by year’s end.

This program provides young athletes with a chance to test their football skills against teams from across Southwestern Ontario.

Jets’ teams are made up of both new and returning players. Players should be able to commit to the team for the entire season. Teams play 4 home and 4 away games. The regular season standing will determine whether a team is eligible for the playoffs.

In the spring/summer, the Jets play in the Ontario Minor Football League (OMFL) and play a schedule against teams between Windsor and Pickering. This season runs from April till mid-July plus playoffs if the team qualifies.

The Jets play their fall season in the Ontario Football League (OFL), playing teams from Clarington to Guelph and Hamilton. Teams begin practicing in mid-August with games beginning around the first week in September.

The Toronto Jets work together with our families to ensure that all children/youth interested in playing football have the opportunity to do so regardless of experience, skill level or financial need.
